What about the provision of the reconciliation bill (in Section 70302) that would severely restrict federal courts’ authority to hold government officials in contempt if they violate judicial orders. That provision would require anyone suing the government to pay a bond before the court can use its contempt power to enforce injunctions or restraining orders meant to halt illegal actions. That provision appears intended to deter plaintiffs from seeking relief from illegal or unconstituional goverment actions through the courts.
Good piece. Does a nice job of disclosing the disaster of this bill. Fingers crossed, the Senate will find some fortitude to correct as much as they can. But it won't be enough. This regime has no understanding of governing a nation. They're just out to strip what they can while they can.
