finally we're going to be "back in space". the DS9 (deep space 9) version of a low orbit space station just doesn't have the pizzaz we need! we need distance! we need new objects and semi-small gravity! WHO will be the first one to climb into and out of a crater within a 45 minute 5K run? Will there be any follow ups to the golf ball drive example from apollo 14? or another eagle feather drop? when will we camp out on the moon for a full month?

a little more serious would be when do we get the frank discussions on how visitor's psyche is changed after having spent serious time on the moon? there MUST be a strong reaction to having completed such a monumental milestone.

Another great writing on an exciting subject. I am especially intrigued about Stephanie Wilson, an engineer who has worked on rockets and "attitude control" systems. I sometimes could benefit from someone with expertise in attitude control.

I can’t tell you how excited I am about this. When I was a kid watching Apollo 11, if you’d told me we would stop going to the Moon for a HALF CENTURY, I would have assumed the Cold War had turned hot and we’d obliterated ourselves. (Which may still happen!)
